Freia: Well, um, Mum, get out the shot!
I'm Freia, I'm 11 and I'm a BMX world champion.
When I'm on top of the start gate, what's going through my mind is, um, that I really want to win the race. I want to prove something, that I can actually win.
I first discovered BMXing when my brother started when he was about 12 or 13, and I'd come up the track with him and ride my little pink bike. After that I found that I really enjoyed it, so I started BMXing myself.
The first time I rode on a BMX track, it was amazing 'cause I knew that I actually had potential and I knew that's what I really wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Freia's mum: She's done amazingly well this year to be racing against the boys.
Freia: Me racing against the boys is amazing because I get more competition and I'll be a better bike rider when I'm older.
Freia's mum: I truly believe she will go to the Olympics. And a lot of people say to me, 'Why do you let your daughter do that?' Why not?
Freia: When I won the world championships it was amazing because I'd tried so many times to actually get world one and it finally happened.
It's so important that my family's there to support me because, um, if they wouldn't support me, I wouldn't be here.
