Privacy notice
The British Council will use the information that you are providing in connection with processing your registration and will use your scores and personal details to issue secure digital credentials. The partner issuing digital credentials is Accredible who have signed an agreement to preserve the privacy and confidentiality of your personal data. The legal basis for processing your information is agreement with our Terms of Use.
I understand that:
- by submitting my information through the registration form, I am consenting to the British Council collecting and using my information to inform me of its products, events and services, to send me the monthly email study guide and to carry out market research, according to the preferences I select
- I have the right to withdraw my consent at any time by contacting learnenglish@britishcouncil.org. If I exercise this right, my personal information will be permanently deleted from the system as soon as possible. I can also withdraw my consent to share my results with the partner issuing digital credentials at any time by contacting the British Council in the same way
- if I do not provide my consent, the British Council cannot collect my information.
Data protection
The British Council complies with data protection law in the UK and laws in other countries that meet internationally accepted standards.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold on you, and the right to ask us to correct any inaccuracies in that information. If you have concerns about how we have used your personal information, you also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.

We will take steps to delete your personal information when it is no longer needed. We will remove the data of users who have not logged in for 12 months and have also not contributed comments or content to the website.
