Presenter: For Safer Internet Day, we're thinking about how to inspire positive change online. But what does that actually mean? Well, I've got a few experts here, so let's go and find out.
We're playing a game to learn what children think about the changes to their digital lives.
So, this is what we're going to do. We've got the moral compass on the floor with four choices. They are: I'm not sure; I agree; I think it depends; and I disagree. So all you need to do is go towards the compass that you think is the best fit.
Artificial intelligence will make our lives better.
So why have you guys picked it?
Student one: I've picked it because people might use AI for cheating in exams, but some people might use it for education.
Presenter: Why are you not sure?
Student two: I'm not sure because artificial intelligence might be smarter than humans, and also they can take over the world.
Student three: I agree because artificial intelligence, we have apps that could help us improve in our learning.
Presenter: People are kinder online than they used to be. So what do you think? Which one are you guys going to?
Student four: I disagree because when I play a game, I get bullied for no reason.
Student five: I agree that people have not been, like, that nice like now, but, like, they used to be nicer before.
Student six: People who get, like, hurt and bullied online should, like, ban them or tell, like, safety internet or something like that to stop them.
Student seven: I think it depends, because usually some people are, like, kind and, like, just want to play the game.
Student eight: I'm not sure, because if they're really, like, unfriendly and swear a lot, then I would disagree, right? But if they're really kind and would want to play, then I'd go to agree.
Presenter: Changes in technology are making people happier. What do you guys think? Where are we going to go?
Student nine: I think it depends, because Minecraft, people like the changes that new blocks, makes the game more fun. But I think it's also not as good because, sometimes, other games, they've changed and they've gone as, not as good as they were before.
Presenter: Why do you agree?
Student ten: I agree because, like, if you're, like, stuck in danger, you can just, like, tell the technology to, like, call the police or …
Presenter: So it can be quite helpful in some situations.
Student four: I'm not sure, because, because if there's other people who thinks whatever they like, they have technology and there's no other new games really coming up now.
Student six: Outside of technology makes me more happier because you can do different things. You can spend time with your family and friends and go out to different places.
Student two: Technology helps people, like, in wheelchairs, people that can't reach and move. Technology will help them through any difficulties.
