Play a fun mystery bag game to practise English vocabulary with your children. Here are our top tips for playing a mystery bag game.

Mystery bag game
  • This fun game uses the sense of touch.
  • Find some objects which your child knows the name of in English.
  • They should each feel different (e.g. a potato, a pencil, a teaspoon, a feather).
  • Put the objects into a bag.
  • The child puts their hand in the bag and tries to identify the objects by feeling them.
  • Encourage them to say how the object feels (soft, rough, etc.) as well as naming it.
  • Watch our video tip to see another game you can play to revise vocabulary.
